Toyota MR2 engine
MR2 models use different engines. 2004 generation is equipped with an engine
taken from Celica GT which produces 138 hp at 6400 rpm. Performance is further
enhanced through the use of Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (WT-i), producing
125 lb0ft of torque. 2003 generation comes with a 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine
with 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.8-litre, 16-valve. twin-cam, four cylinder
WT-I engine of 2002 models produces 138 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. The
rear-wheel drive vehicle has a standard transmission of 5-speed manual. For this
year it comes with the optional sequential manual transmission instead of the
usual clutch pedal and gear selector.
